But then it happened.

On an evening, while I had to study, I stumbled upon a Youtube video on how to make a passive income online business.

I was completely flabbergasted. How was it possible that some people are earning money, literally while they sleep?

As a young kid, you heard people joking about that concept ‘making money while you are asleep’.

But these people were serious and even showed proof.

I binge watched for hours. People were living the ‘laptop lifestyle’ and it fascinated me.

They do not take orders from a boss, they live in freedom. 

Then I knew it for sure.

I want this too, and there is no reason why I can’t achieve it.

So I reached out to a partner of mine and told him about starting an affiliate webshop. He agreed and I contacted a website designer.

The web designer was really lacking. We had to push and force him to build our website. Over a year later we finally ditched him. He wasted 1 year of our time.

I was so angry and frustrated about being dependent on him, I taught myself how to build and design websites.

Some weeks passed and I built my own website.

All the blogs and videos on advanced marketing strategies that I read and watched finally paid off.

I monetized my website properly and made my first euros online.

I filmed my reaction and still HAVE that recording, so I will never forget that feeling and never forget where I came from.

I realized that making money online wasn’t something you only see in videos or read in blog posts.

And if I am capable of making a few bucks, making thousands should be possible as well.

To make a long story short.

I started a couple of (online) business during my time as a student and learned a ton about digital marketing all by myself…

As I neared graduation, I had the feeling I would never want to pursue a career in law (what I was studying at the time).

I still managed to graduate with honors (cum laude) and even finished a second master degree.

I wondered:

Did I really belong to the most intelligent persons in the university? In my opinion, there were much more students that outsmart me, some were genius. But I was the one that applied business tactics and strategies to the education system, so I studied ‘smarter’. Of course I worked hard for it but I enjoyed life while others tried to memorize 3 books of 150 pages each to pass their exams.

Anyway, the life which was mapped out for me (9 to 8 as a lawyer) would not make me happy, so I continued working as an entrepreneur and try to chase my dreams:

Live life on my own terms, take care of my family and impact millions of lives in a positive way.

I want to inspire others to be the live example of getting things done by just going for it. Work hard, because it won’t happen by itself, but most importantly work smart.

Let me give you some food for thought.

• Take the time to invest in yourself. Your future depends on it.  It is an investment that “you can’t beat”, can’t be taxed and not even inflation can take away from you.
• Develop certain skills that might come in handy for you whether they are social or business skills. You need them both.
• Stay hungry and always be eager to learn and improve no matter how successful you might already be.

‘About pages’ are actually suppose to be short, but this one gets a little out of hand so let’s end it here.
